Dear Youth Bowling Parents

I would like to extend a “Welcome Back” to Pheasant Lanes Family Fun Center for the 2020 – 2021 Youth Bowling Season. I would like to invite you to the 2020 – 2021 YOUTH BOWLING BLAST OFF! We will be holding registration for the upcoming season on August 22nd 2020, from 9am – 12pm.

While I’m sure you may have many questions or concerns with how we will be moving forward, let me assure you that we will be following all National, State and Local guidelines as we have been since the Illinois Re-opening of Phase 4.

I would like to first and foremost like to thank Carla Dicken for her past duties as the Pheasant Lanes Youth Program Director. She has been helpful with questions during the transition to our new Youth Directors.

Both of the people that have agreed to run the program this year are no strangers to youth bowling. Mike Mailloux and Ashley Gargano will be assisting with running the program this year. Mike has been a coach and a back-up to Carla for the past few years. Ashley has been a coach as well in the Alley Gators and Bantam bowlers for the past 3 years and also is a product of the Pheasant Lanes Youth Program.

With that being said, let me get to some changes we will have for this coming season. New for this year is we will be offering TWO TWELEVE WEEK SESSIONS for our youth to compete in. As of the time of this letter being written, the Illinois State Bowling Proprietors are in the midst of a legal dispute with Governor Pritzker’s office, should they win this it will allow for bowling centers to open to more than their current capacity of 50 customers. We are hoping to have more information by the registration date.

Also new this year we will be doing a ONE TIME FEE for the session of bowling. This will require a full and complete payment at the time of registration. (This one-time fee, is also giving the bowlers 2 free weeks of league play, thus allowing for the ability to miss weeks and not have to worry about scheduling any pre-bowling) We will be continuing with a registration fee of $25, which will help offset the cost of bowler’s shirts as well as their awards/prizes.

The start date for the first session will be September 10th for Thursday Youth Program and September 12th for our Saturday Program. Both of these leagues will be bowling 12 weeks ending on December 3rd and December 5th respectively.

We realize that this is a different time for everything, including youth sports. Should anything change and we are unable to start on the given dates we will look at what modifications can be made to accommodate the bowlers.

Please feel free to contact David Bartlett for additional questions or concerns by phone 309-663-8556 or email at david.bartlett@pheasantlanes.com

Thanks,

Your Youth League Program Team

Mike, Ashley, and David
